All About Serums ft Into The Gloss

As I’ve flipped through various magazines and articles online, the word has always been there: SERUM. I never paid much attention to this word. It was something good for my skin. I would probably use religiously when I got older. Well, the time for serum is NOW and as I approach my twenties I look at my skin and realize that I want to take care of it while I’m still in my youth!

The popular website Into The Gloss has grown its popularity as a skincare, beauty, and health blog which became part of the beauty brand Glossier in the last few years. I am fortunate enough to partner up with them on this post to let you know my take on serums and skincare in general. You can learn all about what a face serum is via their blog post here.

Some of my favorites include:  YSL Forever Youth Liberator Eye Zone Serum / Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum / Dior Hydra Life Pro-Youth Sorbet Essence

Something I noticed about all three of these serums is how fast absorbing they are; I’m not left with a sticky face before applying my regular moisturizer! After a week of using any of these, there was a noticeable healthy glow to my skin even without makeup. The Dior serum especially has helped my skin. My foundation goes on smoother than ever and I find my skin extra hydrated the more I use it!

Besides a bi-weekly face mask I use, I try to keep my skincare routine pretty simple. Serum, moisturizer, eye cream and I’m good to go. This routine usually gets done twice a day; once in the morning and at night!

Unfortunately…with any good thing there comes a little bit of bad. Being in university right now, I don’t really have the $$$ for a huge amount of really nice skincare products. So is it REALLY worth it? I say yes. Mostly because I’ve seen first-hand what a good serum can do for my skin and a little goes a long way with the product.

Thanks to the whole team at Glossier for making some kick-ass products and for Into the Gloss for this crazy opportunity. Hopefully, I can get my hands on some of the products before they sell out again!
