What I Wore: Turks and Caicos

Hello lovelies! I recently came back from a vacation with my family to the gorgeous islands of Turks and Caicos! The sun was shining every day which meant the temperatures were WAY up there too. Here’s what I wore during my relaxing week under the palm trees.

This romper was EVERYTHING. Snakeskin print and cut out shoulders are always fun trends and what you don’t see is the draping detail in the back. Open back = keeping cool in the heat. I wore this out to a beach front dinner, so I literally didn’t wear shoes (aka why I cropped the picture like this). IMG_9007[1]

You want to know what one of the greatest feelings is? Being able to wake up and head straight to the beach for a few hours before actually having to get ready for the day. After my lazy morning, the family wanted to explore the island, so we headed out for some light shopping and biking around. I knew it was going to be a pretty chill day so I decided to go for an easy crop top and shorts. The sandals add an edge to the look since the top is so basic, and I went for a low maintenance hairstyle that got my hair out of my face on the bike.  IMG_9088

Day 3dscn1415_edited

It was another beach day, I hope y’all have been noticing my tan in these pictures! This outfit was for going out to one of Turks & Caicos’ nicest restaurants, Coco Bistro. I decided to dress up a bit for the evening; white is daring when you’re going to a restaurant with lots of colorful sauces okay?! I layered a thin gold choker with a small gold moon necklace to draw attention away from the straight-across neckline. As a petite girl, this a great trick to do when you want to pull off this type of dress or shirt without it making you look super wide up top!DSCN1402_edited

Dress or romper? You can’t actually tell by looking at it straight on, but this is actually a romper! I loved it because of how effortless creating an outfit around this was. The gray color keeps it basic while the ruched top portion adds texture! I figured my sandals weren’t strappy enough or something so I just added the string choker for some length on my torso. My green sunnies hid my “second margarita” eyes (legally of course)!DSCN1428_edited

Day 5:IMG_9213_edited

I call this look, “I threw this bodysuit in my suitcase last minute”. Sometimes I want to look like I’m trying, but barely making an effort! I’ve adopted the bodysuit trend and I think everyone really should. Everything stays tucked in all day and won’t move as you walk around! Ripped high-waist shorts and a 90’s-esque choker completed the look, along with some platform sandals. I would shout 90’s kid from the mountain tops if I could.IMG_9200[1]
