As I’ve grown older I have come to the realization that fashion rules are meant to be broken. Of course there are certain times where modesty is necessary or uniforms are mandatory in a professional workplace…but I do think a person’s wardrobe should not be limited every day. Society puts pressure on girls and guys on what it thinks is “cool” to wear, thus restricting one’s personal style. Wear what you want to wear! If you think you look good then hold your head up high and walk around with that confidence in the outfit you love. This day I was attending a fashion event where I knew the majority of attendees would be rocking pastel-colored dresses, floral prints, chunky sparkly jewelry, and designer wedges. No one would dare come in wearing an all black two-piece set with a train attached to the shorts and chunky black heels… so that’s exactly what I did.
