Welcome to NYFW 2017! This, my babes, is the season of CHANGE. If you need the full breakdown of this fashion-filled season…here you go!
NEW YORK (Women): September 7-14
LONDON (Women): September 15-19
Milan (Women): September 20-26
Paris (Women): September 26-October 3
Designer Details
One of the biggest changes to come out of the Spring 2017 lineup is the host of flagship designers who are moving their spring collections to the Paris show later this year; designers like Rodarte and Altuzarra!
Another adjustment, a slightly happier one actually, is that the week has been reorganized to be one day shorter! Even though we’re “losing a day of runway shows” the number of high-profile designers staging debuts and comebacks is sky high. Rihanna is set to bring her Fenty x Puma line back to NYC. Some new names you may be hearing are Hawaiian designer Monaola Yap and the Kim Kardashian-West’s favorite etherealĀ indie brand, Daisy.
“Send me your location”
This year, some of the most anticipated shows aren’t in their usual spots in the Upper East Side… try an ALLEYWAY in Chinatown, diners, museums, The Barclays Center, or even all the way to Brooklyn! One of the most exclusive showings will be Ralph Lauren as he takes his current collection to his own garage in Bedford, New York! Get those Uber codes ready…you’re going to need them!
Celebrity Spotting = SO. MANY. QUESTIONS.
Besides Rihanna making her fashion and makeup lineĀ debut on the NYC streets this week, keep your eyes out for other celebrities who are attending shows OR walking in them! Remember the QUEEN Cindy Crawford? Her 16-year-old daughter Kaia Gerber may be walking with Marc Jacobs as she’s already the face of his Daisy fragrance! Kanye West’s Yeezy collection has been announced to show at NYFW too but the real question is…where and when? The designer and rapper had everyone watch his bizarre, extremely long show on Roosevelt Island last year but he’s yet to announce where the Season 6 line will be showcased.
One day I’ll make it to a fashion week somewhere in the world. Until then… online publications is what I’ll have to stick to!
