–The Devil Wears Prada
While it is true that it’s no surprise florals for spring are a continuing choice this year but this season’s offerings are not the usual buds we see. The prints aren’t all ultra-fem with an overload of sweetness-but exude a tougher look. They’ve bloomed with a wilder feel and have a strong, abstract vibe. The silhouettes are decidedly playful, think crop tops and pencil skirts, with oversize blooms and sheer insets coming out to play. The best things about this trend are the attention to detail and deep colors which make it easy to transition an outfit from day to night. The pieces also pair easily with staples you already own like crisp white separates, denim, and flowy bottoms like the ones I’ve styled here. The trend has also made its way into the accessories game: you’ll find sneakers, backpacks, and hats all doused in the prints of the season. So yes, while florals for spring may not be the newest idea out there, this season’s take is incredibly fresh.
